STRATEGIC SOURCING ANALYST III
Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.
Major Responsibility:
Develop commodity strategy
Develop suppliers per business requirement with cross functions
Optimize the supplier base
Do RFQ for NPI projects
Negotiate with suppliers for master purchasing contract, Quality assurance contract, Non-disclosure agreement, consignment contract etc
Negotiate with suppliers for cost reduction based on cost analysis, demand, market data , push back cost increase from suppliers.
Drive cost reduction opportunity with engineering team, lead VA/VE projects
Coordinate with cross functions to drive the projects to achieve KPI
Lead quarterly supplier scorecard review to drive supplier performance improvement in quality, delivery, cost
Identifies risks , opportunities and lowest performing suppliers . Implement corrective action to mitigate risk and prevent/control emerging problems.
What your background should look like:
Education, Technical Qualification& Experience:
- Bachelor or above
- Fluent Spoken and written English
- 8+ years experience in sourcing area (Experience in Electronics ,especially for PCB, PCBA, connector or cable assembly industry is preferred )
- Engineering background is preferred
- Familiar with office software, knowledge of ERP (SAP preferred);
- Work as a global role
