Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Logistics Demand Management Teams develop, integrate and provide short-term accounts or brand specific forecasts for internal operations which include replenishment data, customer data, sales promotion information, marketing plans and new distribution/product deletions. They are responsible for facilitating, managing and executing strategic directions related to plant performance, customer demand agreements, supply chain improvements, revenue forecasting and overall improvement in delivery metrics globally. They assist in the improvement of demand system forecasting accuracy for customers. The Demand Management Teams maintain and manage product history, forecasts and promotional demand. They analyze internal demand stream information, and categorizes according to demand patterns. They also may input sales/marketing intelligence for use in forecast systems, working with sales organization(s), national sales accounts, marketing, and related forecasting and planning groups.

What your background should look like:

The Global Demand Manager within Appliances is a key participant within the robust SIOP process, includes but is not limited in a robust S&OP process to improve forecast inputs to accelerate revenue opportunities, optimize inventory, and ultimately deliver exceptional customer experience to all stakeholders.  In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the development of a highly accurate unconstrained demand plan which ensures the highest level of operations and customer satisfaction with control over costs and resources.  You will work closely with the commercial team (sales and product management) as well as plant and central supply chain teams members to understand and ensure clear communication of customer requirements and trends to operations.

 

What your background should look like:
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
•    Lead a global team of demand analysts
•    Facilitate monthly consensus discussions between Sales, Product Management and Operations
•    Model the long-term demand of APL products over a period of 3 to 24 months utilizing analytical, marketing and sales data
•    Collaborate with BU Strategy & Data analytics team to develop best-in-class forecasting methods.
•    Facilitate the Business Unit MBR (Management Business Reviews)
•    Communicate forecasted demand change impacts to operations and supply chain
•    Ad-Hoc analysis on large datasets for meaningful business insights
•    Manage a monthly calendar with multiple participants and deliverables


Experience and Skills:
•    Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience in demand management, supply chain, or sales & operations planning
•    Preference for experience with SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
•    Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation and consensus skills
•    Understanding of statistical forecasting methods and terminology
•    High level Microsoft Excel skills
•    Understanding of basic MRP – preferably SAP
•    Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
•    Excellent collaboration skills.  Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at different levels of the organization.
