EHS Program Implement
- Lead first aid, near hit, incident investigations and develop corrective actions plan.
- Track internal TEOA Environmental tool audit findings to meet closure requirement.
- Assess and report site safety performance quarterly using the Safety Assessment for Effectiveness (S.A.F.E.) tool, including behavior-based safety (BBS), JSA, chemical management, machine guarding, control reliability, employee engagement, Kaizen, back to basic, etc.
- Create and deliver training metrics for all employees in support of achieving 100% engagement and compliance requirement.
- Lead EHS regular inspection, summarize all potential findings and work out a corrective action plan accordingly.
- Participate in risk assessments, advising risk assessment teams on the assessment process; quantification of risks; prioritizing risks for action and effective risk control measures.
- Establish and develop teams for driving EHS programs, including site safety and environmental committees, energy teams and behavioral safety teams.
- Ensure that program implementation is deployed in a methodical way, involving input from various stake holders, agreed upon timeline for training and acquisition of the needed resources.
- Other tasks assigned by the management.
- Compliance
- Take part in compliance audit, create and drive action plans to implement identified corrective actions.
- Regular update laws and regulations communicate monthly updates to ensure compliance.
- Ensure all necessary monitoring test is implemented.
Responsibilities II
Waste Water treatment system
- Maintain a sound wastewater treatment system by establishing a wastewater management plan including daily operation, inspection, maintenance, monitoring, etc.;
- Responsible for the waste water treatment system, process commissioning and daily operation, be able to provide technical support;
- Be able to identify potential issue proactively based on daily data analysis, report immediately, and provide technical solution accordingly;
- Responsible for execution of wastewater monitoring plan and analysis of monitoring results and ensure data accuracy and reliability of daily monitoring;
- Be knowledgeable and responsible for the total preventive maintenance (TPM) for the entire WWTP, and managing contractors;
- Be responsible for filing and maintaining the waste water treatment records
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of EH&S experience required. Preferably at a factory level.
- Experience in a technical, engineering or manufacturing role preferred
- Demonstrated communication, negotiation, influencing, collaboration and team building skills preferred
- Demonstrated ability in conducting audits and inspections of all aspects of EHS throughout a Site
- University degree or equivalent level of qualification in safety, health, or an environmental discipline
- If a degree is in a related technical or engineering field, but not specific to EHS, then a recognized post graduate qualification (e.g. Masters Degree, etc.) in an environmental or health and safety discipline is required.
- An EH&S post graduate qualification may be substituted for EH&S competence gained through relevant and sufficient training and experience in excess of 3+ years.
- Professional EHS Certification (e.g. Waste Water Practitioner, Certified Safety Professional, etc.)
