岗位职责与任职要求
Responsibilities:
Packaging commodity
•Strategic Vision and Market Benchmarking: Lead the development of a comprehensive strategic roadmap for packaging commodity sourcing. Leverage deep market intelligence to benchmark against industry leaders and identify opportunities for innovation and cost optimization.
•Develop and roll out multi-year commodity packaging strategies for APL & execute to plan.
•Vendor Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with key suppliers, focusing on long-term partnerships that drive continuous improvement and innovation. Conduct regular business reviews to ensure alignment with TE’s expectations and to address any performance issues proactively.
•Should-cost model approach: based on the commodity knowledge to build the right costing to support material productivity goals and business growth.
•Engage with new Product Development teams & manage the NPI procurement activities.
Japan Procurement
•Responsible for supporting Strategic Procurement activities in Japan for the Appliances BU.
•Manage all procurement activities in Japan related to supplier management issues, contracting, & quoting.
•Identify and select strategic suppliers within the business unit and company’s footprint/localization goals. Work with the supplier quality, engineering, and supply chain functions to develop these suppliers to support APL requirements.
•Achieve critical annual procurement KPIs (Delivery, quality, productivity, Inventory, low-cost localization, payment terms, VMI, lead-time reduction, and others).
Qualifications:
•Analytical Expertise: Proficient in analyzing complex financial data, market trends, and supplier performance metrics to inform sourcing decisions.
•Negotiation Mastery: Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving favorable contract terms and cost savings.
•Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Logistics or Supply Chain Preferred.
•Demonstrate a track record of achieving critical annual KPIs (delivery, quality, productivity, inventory) and driving improvement in leading indicators (TEBIT pipeline, parts on contract/VMI, etc.)
•5+ years in a Strategic Procurement role.
•Good English skills with fluent conversational communication ability.
•Willingness to travel (25% travel) throughout the AP region.
