Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Project Management Teams are responsible for managing the operational aspects of projects from inception through implementation. They coordinate cross-functional teams and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project teams and line management. Our Teams review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports. They assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. They also develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure project management compliance to LeanPD (v2) processes, verifying process rigor for project governance, documentation, and project health.
  • Support Project Managers and core team members in various activities, including conducting project audits, preparing reports, gate reviews, adopting new processes & templates, and providing training on LeanPD methodology and TE Project (PMIS) to new Project Owners.
  • Facilitate Project Approval Committee (PAC) activities, including agenda preparation, project desk audits, scheduling and facilitating weekly PAC meetings, documenting PAC decisions, ensuring preparedness for project review, and tracking actions, decisions, and metrics.
  • Provide feedback to team members and PAC on potential problems, drive continuous improvements, and support management with project dashboards (financials, milestones, resource).

 

What your background should look like:

  • University Degree: Bachelor of Engineering - Mech/Automobile/Industrial Engineering/Tool design.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Project Management Office, with overall experience ranging from 5-7 years.
  • Solid understanding of agile development methodology and the ability to deploy in NPD projects.
  • Strong and thorough knowledge of technical tools specific to Project Management (MS Project), as well as general engineering tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, culturally sensitive.
  • Strong ability to set goals, motivate team members, drive projects with external organizations and customers, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive, resilient, and self-confident.
