Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Financial Planning & Analysis Teams develop, interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control. They perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. They gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. The Financial Planning & Analysis Teams also perform economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

We are looking for an FP&A Analyst (m/f) to be part of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team of TE Connectivity - Energy. The position reports to the Global FP&A Manager for the Energy Business Unit (BU). In this role, you will be in frequent contact with the regional finance teams, the BU leadership team, BU functional leaders and various corporate functions of the TE organization.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Financial business partnering with the regional controllers (APAC / Americas / EMEA) regarding operating expenses, including budget planning, forecasting and reporting
  • Analysis and consolidation of regional financial information, discussion with the BU leadership team and submission to corporate HQ
  • Collaboration with corporate HQ and other stakeholders on a variety of financial matters
  • Analysing financial performance versus budget / forecast / prior periods
  • Continuous improvement of processes, systems and reports, including the automation of reporting and analysis processes leveraging the internal data warehouse and other systems
  • Preparing ad hoc reports and analyses
  • Assisting with special projects as assigned

 

Qualifications and skills:

  • Degree in finance or economics
  • 3 years of work experience in Controlling and/or Financial Planning, preferably in an international environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A high degree of initiative, hands on mentality
  • Interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credible relationships with geographically dispersed team members
  • Team player, good communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in matrix organisations
  • Fluent in English (verbally and in writing)
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel), Hyperion, SAP and data warehouse solutions
