MANUFACTURING SUPERVISOR - ASSEMBLY

Overview

TE Connectivity's assembly teams operate automated assembly machines assigned to them, ensure proper flow of components, troubleshoot and correct machine problems to ensure quality and productivity. They ensure that changeovers and set-ups are performed according to the production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document results in accordance with our quality procedures. Each team member is responsible for keeping the workplace clean and organized and for ensuring compliance with TE Connectivity's environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.

 

Working Hours :2 shifts alternating each week. Monday to friday. 5am to 1pm and 1pm to 9pm. 

Within our Assembly Department you have the following responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for coordinating the preparation of the work planning in the short, medium and long term taking into account capacity and knowledge within the department and this where necessary in consultation with the other operational departments.
  • You manage employees and/or team leaders within the department who are responsible for realizing maximum productivity and quality and achieving the predefined departmental objectives.
  • The daily follow-up, coaching, motivation and development of the employees is one of your main tasks. (including conducting appraisal interviews)
  • You communicate TE's vision and values to all employees.
  • You take timely and appropriate actions when problems escalate.
  • You support the implementation of TEOA within the department and monitor the various KPIs and help ensure compliance with safety standards within the department.
  • You are responsible for following up/organizing training (on-the-job training, VIK training, etc.).
  • You support improvement proposals by employees in the context of optimizing the department and also take initiatives yourself that fit within the vision and objectives of the plant.
     

What your background should look like:

  • You have experience in a coaching role at work or in your spare time. 
  • Some technical affinity is a plus, but not an absolute "must".
  • Experience working in production environment, knowledge of automotive industry would be an advantage.
  • In the context of a smooth information and knowledge transfer, you are flexible in terms of working hours. (wiling to work shift) 
  • You are a smooth communicator, both to employees, colleagues and supervisors, so that everyone gets the necessary feedback in a correct way.
  • You work in a structured way, are a go-getter, and like to think out-of-the box.
  • You can make decisions independently. You are driven, results-oriented and you deal smoothly with (organizational) changes
