Job Overview

The Sensors Environmental & Sustainability Manager is responsible for all activities related to Environmental & Sustainability across the Sensors Group ensuring compliance and managing the execution of environmental and sustainability initiatives with skills aligned to Californian Environmental permits in the Semi-conductor manufacturing markets. The expectation of the Environmental Sustainability Manager will be to focus on a data-driven, continuous improvement approach to drive our strategy.

The Sensors Business Unit is seeking an Environment Sustainability Manager working out of Milpitas California.. This position will provide for a great deal of autonomy on projects and strategies that occur simultaneously and with high priority. 

 

The Environmental & Sustainability Manager will have the opportunity to develop sustainability strategy and implement programs and tools to report, calculate and improve carbon emissions in fabrication processes, supply chain and products, and bring sustainability requirements in preliminary stages of product/process development and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Direct responsibility for ensure Sensors Milpitas Environmental permitting requirements are meet and maintained in compliance.
  • You will be responsible for developing and executing Environmental Sustainability Strategy and supporting those actions within the Sensors Business Unit. 
  • You will perform the analysis and performance benchmarking to support TEs organizational goal setting and implementation. 
  • The individual will make decisions and prioritize actions based on sound data analysis.
  • Develop, manage and coordinate/drive Water, Waste, Energy, and Greenhouse Gas (Scope 1, 2, ) reduction projects and develop best practices.
  • Develop and manage a team to ensure that Scope 3 requirements are managed.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and other TE Business Segments to identify solutions through internal and external benchmarking.
  • Develop Environmental and Sustainability programs that drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance.
  • Deploy governance programs that assess and validate compliance to local regulation and TE expectations.

 

Skills, Experience and Education

  • You should have an industrial background with 10+ years experiencing working in a matrixed organization creating and implementing environmental programs.
  • You hold a Bachelor´s or Master´s Degree in Sustainability or Environmental Sciences, Energy, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to explain complex analysis in a concise manner and to convince others without authority. 
  • Strong project management knowledge, combined with critical thinking skills, with a focus on satisfying customers. 
  • Well-organized, analytical initiative-taker with a strong attention to detail.

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $157,664 – $236,496 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
