Global Trade Services Automation Analyst/Manager

Our objective is to build a world-class Global Trade Services organization. Global Trade Services Automation Analyst/Manager will oversee TE’s Global Trade Services automation tools. The position will primarily support the Director of the GTS Program Management Office as a Subject Matter Expert in trade automation activities, partnering with TE’s Information Security Group (TEIS) to develop and maintain automation to ensure all trade functional requirements are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing the GTS automation service provider strategy. Represent the GTS organization as the primary tactical contact for third-party automation service providers.
  • Recommend and drive modifications to companywide policies and processes to align with automation capabilities. Resolve identifiable issues using stakeholder engagement and collaboration techniques.  
  • Coordinate and organize the trade SME community in creating, editing, and reviewing detailed technical requirements for TEIS projects. 
  • Provide proactive guidance on automation gaps/needs to drive compliance and efficiency while ensuring alignment with varying business objectives and user community impact analysis.
  • Develop and manage the technical roadmaps and report on critical deliverables and milestones. Effectively communicate, mitigate risks, implement solutions, take corrective actions, and keep all parties informed while maintaining the expectation of excellence.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify, assess, and execute for future needs and prioritize projects based on risk and cost savings.
  • Track, status, and provide reports and metrics associated with project activities. Balance business resource allocation, regulatory risk, and business constraints to achieve optimal results. Manage deadlines and enable clear, concise communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manages the creation and development of training materials on automation tools and, when required, provides necessary supplemental training and updates for employees with trade functions. 
  • Build a culture of accountability and collaboration based on corporate desired outcomes.

What your background should look like:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Information Systems, or a related discipline
  • 8 – 10 years of relevant work experience (level of role is flexible depending on candidate experience) to include a combination of export/import subject matter expertise and knowledge of international trade compliance industry, as well as program management experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in SAP Gthe SAP GTS module with one or more GTS rollouts; experience with S/4HANA is preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of SAP solutions covering processes within SAP GTS: Sanctioned Party List and Embargo screening, Import/Export Legal Control, Customs Communication, Trade Document Services, Customs Duty Frameworks, Bonded Warehousing, Customs Control, Trade Preference, Letter of Credit processing and Restitution
  • Knowledge of ITAR, EAR, FTR, sanctions and embargoes programs, and non-U.S. trade regulations (e.g., BAFA, UK BIS, etc.)
  • Experience soliciting and creating trade-related IT requirements from employees and business partners
  • Experience working with geographically diverse teams across multiple time zones, countries, and cultures
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally to build networks and relationships throughout the business
  • Experience assessing compliance risks in the business and developing strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills and the ability to interact and partner with Company personnel and external advisors

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $145,440 - $218,160 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
