Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s internship program is designed to provide interns with real world experience to enhance classroom knowledge. Uniquely crafted assignments and meaningful projects provide interns with a challenging 10 – 12 week experience. Interns will gain exposure to senior leadership and be given professional development opportunities. At the end of the summer, interns will be provided the opportunity to pursue full-time placement within TE Connectivity. 

 

The Data and Devices Business Unit of TE Connectivity has an opportunity for a Marketing summer internship. The business is seeking an ambitious, creative individual who exhibits a desire to learn and who wants a career in Marketing with a concentration in social media tactics, content management, digital transformation, and demand generation. 

 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

 

The Marketing summer intern will be involved in working closely with key stakeholders to learn the business and assist in driving marketing strategies.  Looking for a quick thinking and strategic marketer to work on projects such as:

 

  • Social Media --- project to better understand and identify how social media activities are driving quantifiable demand for Data and Devices products.  Will include an understanding and analysis of existing social programs, competitive activity, evaluation of the social media channels ecosystem, etc.  Recommendations from this project will contribute to the marketing strategy and plans for the next fiscal year.
  • Content Strategy -- perform research into our clients’ industries and provide actionable tips and advice for expanding their reach in the digital space.  Translate these learnings into actions that can be implemented into existing content marketing plans.
  • Marketing Coordination – get involved in a broad set of marketing activities.  Follow up for company sponsored events, both internal and external, including tradeshows, exhibits, and internal tech days.  Serve as a critical liason with Sales and Product Management.

  • Demand Generation

 

Qualifications:

  • Majors: Sophomore or Junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, with a focus on Digital Marketing, and/or Marketing Communications. 
  • Minimum GPA in major of 3.0
  • Eligible candidates will be available for an internship opportunity from May 2018 through August 2018

 

Additional Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Knowledge of Social Media tactics, including a working knowledge of how to create an effective, external company blog
  • Knowledge of Demand Generation campaign process
  • Proven creativity skills a plus
  • Strong organizational skills
