Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s internship program is designed to provide interns with real world experience to enhance classroom knowledge. Uniquely crafted assignments and meaningful projects provide interns with a challenging 10 – 12 week experience. Interns will gain exposure to senior leadership and be given professional development opportunities. At the end of the summer, interns will be provided the opportunity to pursue full-time placement within TE Connectivity.  

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Position Overview:  

The intern would get exposure to the whole Corporate FP&A team, as well as with Segment and BU FP&As. While working on different projects and assignments, they would get exposure to other business functions and get experience on how TE works on projects. The exposure would be split between two teams: The Reporting Team and CMS Teams. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Review and analysis of TE Backlog - Evaluate accuracy and consistency of TE backlog between various financial/data systems (i.e. Hyperion HFM and TE Data warehouse); participate in historical TE Backlog project per TEIS requirements
  • Set up database for Forecast accuracy tracking by business unit and key measurements (Revenue, OI, MFCF, etc.) and evaluate who does what area of forecasting the best to drive best practice development
  • Assist with Financial Planning & Decision Support (FP&DS) website project and organize FP&DS document center including Council meeting material and BDP sharing material etc.
  • Assist in the preparation of the budget for one function (e.g. Procurement).
  • Assist in implementation of integrated planning system for cost center budget and forecasts

 

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year accredited university in business, finance, accounting or other related disciplines. Expected graduation between December 2018 and June 2019
  • Highly self-motivated, able to multitask and team-oriented

  • Proficient with MS-Office products – SAP background is a plus.
  • Minimum GPA in major of 3.0
