TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.

TASKS and RESPONSIBILITIES

One of the strategic priorities is to expand PBL globally. PBL team needs to manage the suppliers globally to achieve established goals in revenue, gross margin, quality, delivery, service, capability, and capacity. PBL aligns strategy and execution with cross functional partners such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Product manager, sales, and functional owners. 
The location for the position can be global.

Key responsibilities
•    Manage operations for Cable products, ensuring quick ramp up on new product developed and make the plants best in class as per internal benchmark – TE operating advantage (TEOA).
•    Develops and drives operations strategy for PBL global level and IoT / Micro market business. 
•    Long term business planning. 
•    Responsible for operational P&L, drive business and margin growth. 
•    Ensures suppliers and plant are focused on business and margin growth, NPI, Cost, excellent customer experience – supply and quality metrices.
•    Understanding the market trends and TE product road map and prepare the suppliers pipeline to support the business. 
•    To support DND strategy, develop and grow the suppliers globally. 
•    Lead a global team with inclusive and diversity. 
•    Lead NPI introduction with BL products. 
•    Intelligence collections and provide information to TE Market and Product Management team for new products and new technology in market. 
•    Proactively promote new products from suppliers /market to PM to enrich TE product portfolio. 
•    Manage the capex and investment for PBL projects. 
•    Supplier management from introduction to balanced scorecard management to suppliers exit. 
•    Products management from NPI to mass production to EOL 
•    Continuously keep working on Infrastructure enhancement and procedures review and process improvement. 
•    Drive VAVE with Engineering team. 
•    Through SOP process, enhance supplier capacity and capability management to ensure ECE to our end customers. 
•    Supplier’s quality management and ensure YOY 20% quality performance improvement. 
•    Drive PBL TEOA (TE operating advantage) certification and meet the target of Star level 5 in 3 years. 
•    Drive TEOA tool application with key suppliers for continuous improvement for supplier’s process control and efficiency improvement and share the gain with TE. 
•    Works with Subvertical Procurement teams in initiatives to achieve positive results for company
•    Regular Scorecard reviews with strategic suppliers.
•    Optimize Malaysia footprint to deliver the right margin, excellent customer experience and other operational parameters.
•    Define the long-term plan for the Malaysia site and viability of the site.
•    Integrate all acquisition with DND BU related to IoT/Micro market business.

PROFILE

•    BE/BS in mechanical, electrical or electronics or other relevant engineering discipline.
•    Additional degree or master’s in business desirable.
•    15 years + management experience. 
•    Strong people & organizational leadership skills
•    Good English skills with fluent conversational communication ability. 
•    Additional language skill desirable.
•    Multi country experience having lived abroad preferred.
•    Demonstrated experience and extensive knowledge of procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, industrial strategy, quality, and lean/six sigma. 
•    Demonstrated experience driving industrial projects or new product introduction.
•    Product management or sales experience is an advantage.
•    Ability to multi-task projects and assess priorities in a complex and demanding environment with minimal supervision
•    Capable of independently leading multiple projects simultaneously
•    Strong data mining and analysis skill set.
