Job Overview 

  • As a New Grad (Full Time) hire in the Appliances Business Unit, you will:
  • Be responsible for product development, and qualification from market definition through production and release
  • Assist in the qualification of suppliers for new products to ensure suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services for new or improved manufacturing processes
  • Conduct feasibility studies, testing on new and modified designs
  • Direct and support detailed design, testing, prototype fabrication and manufacturing ramp. 
  • Provide all required product documentation including, but not limited to, Solid Model, 2D/3D production drawings, product specifications, and testing requirements
  • Create and modify detailed drawings and drafting or conceptual models from layouts, rough sketches or notes and contribute to design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product

Responsibilities

  • Support a global multidisciplinary team environment as Product Engineer to design and develop functionally robust and cost-effective products / processes to meet customer and market needs
  • Support product verification using simulation / prototype testing and final product qualification testing. Where needed, drive failure analysis and implementation of corrective actions
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using TEOA / Digital methodologies
  • Support projects at technical reviews, updates and decision forums
  • Work with global manufacturing resources, procurement, and outside suppliers to meet all TE technical, quality and cost objectives
  • Participate in building prototypes and creating and documenting product specifications.
  • Provide support to engineering staff and performing engineering tasks as required.

You’re the kind of person we are looking for if you:

  • Have Received a High School Diploma or GED
  • Are currently enrolled in a program or pursuing a BA/BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering , or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university or have equivalent work history. (In certain circumstances, students who are taking a gap year will be considered.)
  • Have previous internship or large project experience is preferred
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $63,360K – $95,040K (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
