Job Overview

As a Logistics Analyst on our North America Automotive Logistics team, you’ll have the opportunity to:
  • Coordinate premium freight requests by selecting the most optimal freight service based on lead time and cost efficiencies, while going the extra mile to achieve tight target delivery dates.
  • Support strategic departments on import and export shipments via ocean and air to the US and Mexico.
  • Liaise with materials planning analysts, buyers, and product management to develop forecasts for high-volume shippers, monitor shifts in shipping trends, and proactively adjust allocations and modes to drive cost efficiencies.
  • Analyze supply chain logistics spending including freight, accessorial & surcharges to provide feedback & solutions on areas of opportunity.
  • Create databases/dashboards to provide visibility of shipments in transit, control of freight expenses, and operational support.
  • Cultivate and support logistics planning, forecasting, and freight mode performance to improve end-to-end supply chain performance.
  • Managed projects to develop supply chain capabilities, and reengineering of supply chain routes ocean and air into different countries with little direction.
  • Build processes and tools (Power BI, Tableau, MS Office, Excel, PPT) to help the business scale with growth while maintaining cost & service metrics.
  • Be exposed to present achievements, solutions, and improvements to Corporate.

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation, International Commerce, and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Equivalent work experience in supply chain, logistics, and transportation. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, and Supply Chain processes and coordination of air, ocean, ground, and multimodal services.
  • Coordination of all intermediaries involved in a Supply Chain. From vendor to production plants.
  • Knowledge of key logistics cost drivers (i.e., weight, dims, accessorial, space allocation management, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of INCOTERMS application.
  • Knowledge of Trade Commerce documentation required for imports and exports in the US and Mexico (i.e.,
  • Complemento Carta Porte, Shipping Letter Instructions, inbound entry, domestic entries, commercial documentation, Certificates of origin, Bill of Lading, etc.).
