BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST I

Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Business Intelligence Teams are responsible for the processing, mining and delivery of data to their customer community through repositories, tools and services.

The business analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and managing reports on supply chain analytics data. He or she will work closely with the analytics team to understand the requirements from stakeholders and provide detailed insights. This position will conduct analysis and generating business insights of supply chain performance for the business unit.

This position will also be responsible for conducting regularly scheduled and ad hoc analyses that dive deep into the data to uncover the hidden insights and recommendations that will help TE go beyond explaining what happened, but rather inform us what we should do next.

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as a point-person for stakeholders as the primary source of information relating to operations
• Work with stakeholders to understand business objectives, define key performance indicators based on those objectives, and provide relevant data, including analysis and insights.
• Regularly assemble data from various disparate sources (from SAP, multiple analytics suites, platform portals, etc.) into consolidated reports.
• Help the analytics team design & deliver regular scheduled and ad hoc reports on the performance of business unit supply chain to help stakeholders determine what is working well and what areas need improvement.
• Effectively communicate and ‘translate’ quantitative findings (storytelling with data), inclusive of key insights and actionable recommendations to optimize performance
• Identify gaps in the overall data capture strategy and collaboratively implement enhancements
• Work simultaneously on multiple projects in support of multiple business units / regions
• Communicate best practices within group and work to improve department productivity
• Cross-train, collaborate and serve as backup for other team members within the Analytics Team
   

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field
• 1 year of experience as a business analyst/data analyst (or similar role)
• Proficient in Excel and SAP
• Experience in other digital/website analytics tools, AB testing platforms, SalesForce.com is an
• added advantage
• Experience with Tableau, SQL is a plus
• Ability to influence internal business partners with whom no direct reporting relationship exists
• Excellent relationship management, presentation and communications skills that establish trust, credibility and respect
