Short Description

What does Buyer for Assembly & Molding do?

 

  • Priority is achieving of comodity KPI's (Key Performance Indicators i.e Quality, Cost, Delivery, Payment terms, etc.) 
  • Is responsible for obtaining assembly services and molded parts outsourcing.
  • Gathers quotations from approved vendors, examines bids, and makes awards.
  • Performs cost analysis and volume planning for the comodities.
  • Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain service at planned level.
  • Monitors cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.
  • May recommend cost savings proposals and vendor evaluation criteria.
  • Coordinates transfers.
  • May assist Procurement Manager in development of new contracts such as, but not limited to, terms and conditions, stocking agreements, etc.
  • Cooperation with Supplier Quality Development team.
  • Data maintenance + analysis.

 

 

What do we require?

  • University degree (e.g. economics or technical) or secondary school
  • Min. 3 years work experience in purchasing
  • Good English knowledge spoken and in writing
  • Experience within automotive and corporate environment is an advantage
  • Knowledge of German language is an advantage
  • Great communication & negotiation skills
  • SAP knowledge a plus
  • Flexibility and systematic, goal-oriented and independent work approach
