Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.

 

This role is the key leader responsible for overseeing all Plant Operations including Supply Chain, Procurement, Environmental health and Safety, Manufacturing Engineering and Operational Excellence. The Director of Operations will be a key staff position tasked with developing a comprehensive Operations strategy / plan and executing the plan.

 

Location could be in Japan or Thailand

 

Your key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Responsibility to ensure company and functional goals are achieved

  • Effectively identifies, develops, and promotes hi-potential talent; acts as coach for hi-potential talent.

What your background should look like:

  • Multiple years (5-10) of proven operations, Plant Management experience
  • Leadership behavior, 5- 10 years relevant working and Leadership experience in different countries or regions
  • Lean manufacturing and Supply Chain background
  • Experience in Business transformation, Strong financial acumen, agility
  • Proven ability to navigate in a matrix environment and mobilize collaboration
  • Able to influence, proven ability to build effective teams and lead people
  • Strong business acumen, interpersonal, organizational and resilience to meet multiple priorities and deadline
  • Travel is required as needed. Subject to topics and project timelines. Kawasaki HQ, Japan, Thailand, China
