Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Review supplier requirements, inventory management activities and material flow by cost center.
•    Follows and establishes practices that ensure the correct administration of the MPS/MRP parameters for purchasing, the appropriate use of the system and compliance.
•    Follows practices and task that ensure the service metrics achievement.
•    Manages plant purchasing requirements according to inventory policy and plant storage capacity.
•    Direct contact with purchasing and receipt area to identify and solve billing and purchase order transactional issues. 
•    Responsible for administration of the expected inventory levels of raw material at the distribution center and plant by division.
•    Works closely with Planning, Engineering and Quality personnel. 
•    Works closely with suppliers on daily expedites and escalations.
•    Shares Monthly forecast with suppliers and works with them on actions to drive the optimal service levels.
•    Makes protections for KPIs, financial and operations indicators, as requested by top management.
•    Attends and participates in meetings related to his/her functions-- makes presentations as required for his/her KPIs. 
•    Generates and assures compliance of raw material arriving at factory.
•    Works in coordination with his VS team in projects related to cost savings, efficiencies, process improvements etc, as well as with vendor planning in projects.


KEY EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
•    Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain preferred) or equivalent relevant experience in Supply Chain/Production Planning
•    3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
•    English
•    MRP experience required.
•    Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills, time management and proven computer skills
•    Ability to deal with fast paced multiple demands and very dynamic situations.
•    Spreadsheet and related PC skills essential
•    Ability to maintain integrated computer systems and related data accuracy.

Desirables:
•    SAP experience preferred. 
•    MFGPro
