Short Description

TE Connectivity’s Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability Teams ensure and monitor safety and environmental compliance in the workplace.  This includes the application and communication of health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures and practices consistent with TE, environmental and government regulations.  We are seeking a pro-active person that has a strong background in safety programs and can drive world class performance in our manufacturing facility in Jonestown, PA.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

As a Sr. EHS&S Manager, a typical day may include:

  • Develop, plan, implement and maintain an EHS Management System for the organization that meets the TE Safety Assessment for Effectiveness (SAFE) Requirements, implements TE environmental sustainability programs, ensures compliance with all relevant regulations, TE policies and TE specifications and provides for continuous improvement in EHS performance.
  • Ensure TE safety initiatives required by the TEOA Safety Tools are deployed for the organization, including behavior based safey (BBS), ergonomics programs, risk assessment, EHS Training, machine guarding and employee engagement.
  • Assess, evaluate, quantify and prioritize EHS risks for the organization and develop action plans for ensuring all significant risks are controlled and managed as part of the operational controls defined within the EHS management system and TEOA processes and procedures.
  • Ensure that program implementation is deployed in a systematic and methodical way, involving input for various stakeholders, agreed upon timeline for training and acquisition of the needed resources.
  • Coordinate and publish the metrics on Safety and Environmental progress against targets.

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor Degree in a related field or Associate Degree with 12 years direct experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of operations and/or EHS experience, with a heavy focus and demonstrated excellence in safety.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing EHS.
  • Experience driving positive, collaborative safety culture change.
  • Able to deep dive into incidents to understand, problem solve and document root cause and corrective actions and instruct site to prevent recurrence.
  • Strong demonstrated communication, negotiation, influencing, collaboration and team building skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability in conducting audits and inspections of all aspects of EHC throughout a manufacturing facility.
  • Experience partnering with business leaders in a matrixed environment requiring influencing skills.
  • Must have an effective balance between strategic and tactical implementation skills.
  • Ability to provide innovative solutions and adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to act as a credible coach and facilitator and a credible role model for effective leadership and performance.
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills, strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Must be process oriented with a high sense of urgency.
  • Travel as business needs require (10%-25%, some international).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Safety Professional
  • Safety and/or Quality Lead Auditor certification

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $121,280 – $181,920 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
