Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Financial Planning & Analysis Teams develop, interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control. They perform technical analysis to find present and future financial performance. They gather, assess, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. The Financial Planning & Analysis Teams also perform economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.

 

Support Global Marine Oil & Gas Division by providing Financial Planning & Analysis to facilitate commercial decision-making including costing, pricing, and credit risk management. 

 

This position is located in Katy, TX.

 

Responsibilities:
•    Act as liaison for plant finance teams to facilitate a smooth month end closing process with qualitative & quantitative analysis on results with narratives. Lead the forecasting process for MOG for timely review and submission.
•    Support to Global MOG (Marine Oil & Gas) leadership team Leader of HEMS Prepare and explain monthly financial results and in depth understanding of changes in results from month to month and from expectation / budget.  Preparation of sales pipeline and understanding of global opportunities.  
•    Lead monthly financial review.  Function as a business partner.
•    Pricing and costing analysis and support for MOG business units.  This involves pulling data, assessing data, providing insight, establishing working relationships with other regions to get feedback and resolution to issues.
•    Monitor Accounts Receivable for MOG.  Perform quarterly credit reviews for credit committee meetings, lead internal credit meetings addressing all past due situations and credit risks.  Weekly A/R reporting and follow up.  Support and research for credit limit and payment term changes.
•    Lead global price / cost / capacity studies for product lines.  Regional benchmarking.
•    Develop K.P.I driven Mgt. reports & dashboards, automate & improve working files & drive synergies. 
•    Ad hoc & special projects and M&A support.
•    Weekly and monthly reporting done accurately.

Qualifications:
•    Understands pricing strategies and can pull and assess data to help understand what our action plans need to be. 
•    Understands different costing methodologies by region & can prepare concise analysis of costing differences & cost opportunities to facilitate decision making.  Understand manufacturing processes & how they affect product cost. 
•    Understands business and can apply knowledge to costing, pricing, accounts receivable, and budgeting processes.  
•    Driving forecasting accuracy on Budgets, Quarterly, Monthly & Weekly reporting files and drive ownership & accountability.
•    Experienced in managing P&L & Balance sheet risks.
•    Works well with all departments as a collaborative team player – encourages exchange of information. 
•    Organized and must be able to handle multiple complex and often conflicting deadlines and deliverables on time.
•    Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance preferably with CPA/CMA/CFA or MBA.
•    9+ years of experience in finance. 
•    Experience in credit, pricing, product costing and cost optimization helpful with at least 5 years of management. 
•    +5 years developing analytical capabilities for a finance organization ideally in a Manufacturing environment.
•    Oil & Gas, Marine, Defense experience preferred but not required. Global experience a plus.
•    Knowledge requirements: Excellent spreadsheet, Reporting Systems (SAP, Hyperion/Oracle and database knowledge (Advanced excel, Access, data warehouse queries).
•    Skills:  must be analytical and intuitive, self-starter, strong oral and written communications skills, organization skills, effective partnering with sales and marketing. 
•    Must be proficient in the English language

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $108,160 - $162240 annually (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
