Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Assembly Teams operate assigned automated assembly machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

 

ASSEMBLY:

•     Reading & Understanding Procedures

•     Hand loading/unloading parts and subassemblies into/from assembly fixtures

•     Operation of semi-automatic and automatic assembly equipment.

•     Single subassembly of small parts

•     Spotwelding of small parts

•     Adjusting of Open Relay Assemblies

•     Baking Operations of parts/assemblies

•     Accurate Recordkeeping

•     Examples of Tools & Equipment used:

•     Automatic/Semi-Automatic Benchtop Assembly Equipment, including spotwelding, presses and lasers.

•     Various hand tools including tweezers, holding fixtures, & measuring devices

•     Adjust Station & handheld adjusting sockets

•     Microscope or Magnifying Lamp

•     Eye Loop

•     Oscilloscope

•     Industrial Baking & Vacuum Ovens

•     Epoxies

•     Alcohol

•     Acetone

•     Pressure Gauge

•     Height Gauge

TESTING:

CLEANING/ADJUNCT SEALANT

•     Reading & Understanding Procedures

•     Sets-up and Operates Automatic and Semi-Automatic Cleaning Equipment (ie. Ultrasonic Cleaners) utilizing various cleaning fluids/solvents.

•     Application of Sealant Epoxy

•     Accurate Recordkeeping

•     Tools & Equipment Used:

•     Both Large & Benchtop Ultrasonic Cleaning Equipment

•     Cleaning Solvents

•     Cleaning Sockets

•     Epoxy

•     Paintbrush

•     Venthood

•     PPE

 

SOCKET ASSEMBLY:

•     Reading & Understanding Procedures

•     Primarily manual assembly of various relay sockets and associated hardware.

•     Accurate Recordkeeping

•     Tools & Equipment Used:

•     Molded Socket Parts

•     Epoxies

•     Clamping Fixtures

•     Insertion Tools

•     Laser Labeling Equipment

•     Hardware Packages & Bag Sealer

•     Industrial Baking Ovens

 

LABELING:

•     Reading & Understanding Procedures

•     Selects Programs & Operates Laser Operated Etching Equipment

•     Accurate Recordkeeping

•     Tools & Equipment Used:

•     Laser Labeling Equipment

•     Socket Fixture

FINAL INSPECTION & PACKING:

•     Reading & Understanding Procedures

•     Inspects relays and sockets against established specifications

•     Performs final cleaning & assembly operations

•     Packs relays to prepare for shipping

•     Microscope or Magnifying Lamp

•     Schematics/Drawings

Other Duties May Include:

•     Acting as a back-up for Team Leader

•     Performing cycle-counting and/or computer transactions utilizing the site’s ERP System

•     Other related duties and projects as deemed necessary

 

Requirements:

•     Min. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

•     Strong visual acuity

•     Good manual dexterity with small parts

•     Basic Computer Skills

•     Able to effectively communicate in English (speaking, reading, writing)

•     Must be able to operate in a team environment.

The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee is frequently required to wear appropriate PPE based upon the operation being performed.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $33,280 – $38,542.40 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
