The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient flow of materials, goods, and information from origin to destination to ensure customer requirements and internal business objectives are met. This role coordinates logistics and distribution activities, develops and improves material flow processes, and supports continuous improvement initiatives across Operations, Purchasing, Materials, Quality, Manufacturing, and external suppliers.

Cómo debería ser tu experiencia:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Management Engineering, International Trade, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar logistics, shipping, receiving, or materials management supervisory role.
  • SAP (Logistics, Inventory Management, Physical Inventory).
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Script creation and modification.
  • Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Value Stream Mapping (VSM) interpretation and analysis.
  • Process mapping tools (Flowcharts, Turtle Diagrams, etc.).
  • Problem-solving methodologies (5 Whys, Root Cause Analysis, 8D, Ishikawa, etc.). 

 

Key Responsibilities

Daily Activities

  • Manage and allocate workforce resources, including scheduling, time-off requests, and vacations.
  • Monitor late deliveries and logistics performance from third-party logistics providers (GLOG).
  • Maintain and follow up on QCPC records related to logistics service performance.
  • Prioritize and escalate customer orders, receipts, and shipments as needed.
  • Organize and execute cycle count activities to maintain inventory accuracy. 

Periodic Activities

  • Monitor orders and excess material returns managed by the warehouse team.
  • Implement material flow and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Update material replenishment and distribution routes.
  • Analyze inventory variances and Work-In-Process (WIP) performance. 

Occasional Activities

  • Maintain and clean system data and transactions.
  • Conduct and support safety training sessions.
