Los equipos de Ingeniería de Productos de TE Connectivity optimizan productos existentes a partir de la información o las opiniones que reciben de marketing clientes, equipos de Operaciones, Ingenieros de Desarrollo u otros empleados. Mantienen los productos, los procesos y las especificaciones existentes, incluidas modificaciones para nuevas aplicaciones de acuerdo con técnicas y economías de manufactura. También inician e implementan programas de mejora continua de la calidad y el costo, al tiempo que cumplen los requisitos de los clientes y pueden apoyar e implementar extensiones de productos a plataformas de productos existentes para satisfacer requisitos específicos de clientes. Son los expertos clave en los productos de TE que están bajo su responsabilidad.

Cómo debería ser tu experiencia:

Qualifications:
-    Mechanical, Material Science or Mechatronic Engineering degree (or equivalent).
-    7+ years of experience, preferably in product design/sustaining for the aerospace industry.
-    Fully Bilingual English - Spanish.
-    Experience with CREO or SolidWorks design software.
-    Understand good engineering principles and design practices.
-    Familiar with Aerospace specifications and standards.
-    GDT – Geometric Tolerances / stack up analysis experience, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma environment preferred.
-    Strong mechanical and material analysis; troubleshooting skills.
-    Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
-    Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
-    Must be a self-managed team player with superior time management skills.
-    Must be able to clearly articulate their ideas, listen actively, and provide constructive feedback. Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
-    Leadership skills are also essential, as they are often responsible for mentoring junior team members, leading project teams, and making hard technical decisions.
-    Flexible to travel to suppliers as required of the job.

Primary Responsibilities:
-    Understands product requirements as documented by TE, customer, industry, and military specifications.
-    Design/Redesign products to solve a customer complaint, manufacturing issues, or to support cost optimization.
-    Must provide design solutions for products and set up product specifications to meet business goals.
-    Initiate and execute Engineering Changes to support product manufacturability. This may include updating drawings and 3D models.
-    Determine level of product qualification testing required for aerospace products.
-    Perform engineering analyses and risk assessment for product reliability. 
-    Review CoPQ and evaluate non-conforming material requests for product form, fit, function requirements.
-    Root cause and corrective action assistance on design related issues which have resulted in customer complaints, manufacturing, or supplier rejections.
-    Serve as key product contact for product management, sourcing, customer service and sales.
-    Specializes in optimizing product designs ensuring efficiency and smooth workflow.
-    Performing market research and analysis, utilizing the results as a basis in upgrading existing designs.
-    Analyze feasibility, cost, and return on investment for product ideas. (VAVE Projects). Master’s degree desired.
