Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain.
What your background should look like
10+ plus years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics and S&OE Planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering or equivalent. MBA is a plus.
• Experience in SAP MRP systems. IBP demand and supply is a plus.
• APICS or SIOE-P certifications.
• Proven track record of supply chain improvements
• Ability to multi-task, remain highly organize.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to cross functional stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Excel, tableau, or related BI digital tools
• Knowledge and business acumen of Global supply chain logistics and planning and how it affects business P&L.
• Experience working on complex problems and systems that require out of the box solutions.
• Experience in different manufacturing environments (specifically Low volume, High mix and configure/engineered to order)
• Advance Planning for New Product Introduction experience
• Lean manufacturing concepts / certification.
Responsabilities:
• Provide leadership to the purchasing and planning team. The position is responsible for all aspects of raw material use. This includes procurement, purchasing, warehousing, and associated transactions in the most commercially effective manner. Key KPIs are inventory turns, Aging inventory, Factory orders on time, On-time shipment to customer orders, on-schedule shipment, and material productivity.
• Plans and implements activities related to the timely and cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning, and quality control of production materials, including oversight and execution of the annual physical inventory take and the annual re-costing process. Responsible for meeting annual material productivity (cost reduction) targets.
• Responsible for the procurement and supply of raw materials and components. Coordinates and integrates the flow of materials and information between suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and customers.
• Monthly anticipation of customer demands, ensuring the associated Headcount resources, number of shifts required, expected sales levels, and inventory levels required to timely support expected future demand. Responsible of the Capacity and resources planning process.
• Accountable for material compliance with environmental and social legislation such as RoHS, REACH, and Conflict Minerals.
• Manage and lead the local Supply chain team including identification of High potential employees, High performers and key employees making sure they have a development path to grow in the organization. Develop his successor according to the OLR process.
• Works closely with the Sourcing team on opportunities identified with our suppliers.
• Works in coordination with the warehouse team to ensure accurate and timely storage of materials, timely material flow to the production floor, and correct inbound and outbound merchandise transactions.
• Accountable for implementation of continuous improvement (TEOA) tools and promoter of improvement proposals from team members to improve the key metrics towards Star Level 5 performance.
• Lead continuous improvement activities for the Planning and Purchasing functions. Contributes to and supports cost reduction opportunity projects.
• Analyze supplier performance in relation to timely delivery and quality through communication with authorized suppliers and the Sourcing Department to ensure acceptable levels.
• Supply management through Inventory Control.
• Monitoring and improving the supply plan using analytical, statistical, and smart tools.
• Accountable for the annual physical inventory and its day-to-day floor controls in concurrence with Finance.
