The Material Planning Analyst III is responsible for developing and maintaining production plans that meet customer demand while supporting business objectives, optimizing inventory levels, and improving operational performance. This role determines production quantities, manages demand fluctuations, coordinates schedule adjustments, and collaborates closely with Manufacturing, Production, Purchasing, Quality, Customer Service, and other support functions.
The position plays a critical role in ensuring on-time customer deliveries by monitoring production plan execution, shipment commitments, material availability, and short-term demand forecasts. The analyst proactively identifies risks and implements solutions to maintain service levels and operational efficiency.
Cómo debería ser tu experiencia:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Management Engineering, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in material planning, production planning, supply chain planning, or a related manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Strong SAP knowledge, including material master and logistics transactions.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Understanding of MRP and production planning processes.
- APICS certification or coursework is a plus.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience with Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
- Familiarity with problem-solving methodologies such as 5 Whys, Root Cause Analysis, 8D, and Ishikawa.

Responsibilities
Daily Responsibilities
- Review and analyze customer order requirements and MRP-generated planning recommendations.
- Release finished goods for shipment.
- Create and release production orders.
- Coordinate with Customer Service to establish delivery commitments and ensure on-time shipments.
- Monitor adherence to production schedules.
- Execute planning adjustments through SAP exception messages.
- Review short-term material availability (4 to 15 weeks horizon).
- Participate in operational review meetings and monitor performance results.
- Manage inventory levels for products manufactured at the plant, considering space and flow constraints.
Periodic Responsibilities
- Reschedule production orders as needed.
- Develop and maintain production plans.
- Analyze on-time delivery and inventory performance metrics.
- Develop and implement action plans to improve performance indicators.
- Prepare operational and financial projections, KPIs, and reports requested by senior management.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support line or equipment transfer projects.
- Participate in short-term capacity analysis.
- Assist with quality audits.
- Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement events.
- Lead or support assigned improvement projects.
- Serve as a key contributor in Gemba metric reviews and performance discussions.
