Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production scheduler to join our planning team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing production efficiency, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining an optimal balance between demand and supply. This position requires a keen understanding of manufacturing processes, working with multiple stakeholders, and effective communication to coordinate various elements of the production workflow.

What your background should look like:

Preferably a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

· Previous experience as a production scheduler in manufacturing and revious experience with moulding scheduling

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Proficient in scheduling software systems, including SAP.

Role and Responsibilities

Responsible for the production scheduling for moulded plastic & rubber items, plating and second operation requirements

· Weekly production planning arrangement by ensuring the releasing production orders for each value stream and get alignment with production team in weekly & daily PIM meeting’s

· Daily monitoring of the execution of production orders, track and correct the variance to ensure the production plan is on schedule for each value stream

· Assist in the coordination of production cells, ensuring maximum efficiency.

· Creating Production Scheduling – making sure that it is followed, to achieve maximum efficiency for the company and achieve customer delivery dates.

· Production-related administrative tasks

· Maintain a continuous improvement focus.

· Attend meetings with Engineering, Purchasing and Production Departments and other stakeholders to ensure customer expectations are managed and fulfilled.

· Maintenance of an up-to-date capacity definition for select production work centres, based on demonstrated output

· Constant monitoring, maintenance and complete accuracy of all Supply critical fields within all data systems related to the select work centres for which the Production Scheduler is responsible.

· Create and update production schedules (work to lists) based on orders and capacity.

· Coordinate with teams to execute plans smoothly.

· Work with production supervisor to optimise manpower, equipment, and materials to meet production goals.

· Monitor inventory levels for raw materials, work-in-progress

· Implement strategies to minimize excess inventory.

· Share schedules with relevant teams and stakeholders.

· Identify and implement process improvements for better efficiency.

· Collaborate with teams to adopt best practices.

· Analyse production data and key indicators for insights.

· Provide reports on production performance.
