Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Molding Teams operate assigned automated molding machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Remove molds from production machinery using established guidelines for safety
  • Open and close machinery on appropriate settings to avoid damage to mold and/or equipment
  • Complete required paperwork to facilitate the repair and/or preventative maintenance process
  • Perform basic disassembly of mold
  • Clean mold components in cleaning tank or by hand
  • Inspect mold components for wear and damage; Report any visual abnormalities to Mold Maker, Group Leader and/ or supervisor
  • Prepare mold for installation as outlined in the set-up requirement book; Change placement of mold injectors to ensure proper set-up
  • Install cleaned and repaired mold using established guidelines for safety
  • General housekeeping of work area.
  • Follow company and department guidelines, procedures and policies.
  • Follow safety guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • HS diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and instructions.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work in order to successfully accomplish job duties.
  • Must be able to work with minimal direct supervision.
  • 1 year prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Lifting up to 55 lbs.
  • Pulling and pushing molds using a crane or a mold cart.
  • Use of ultrasonic cleaners and aerosol mold cleaners.
  • Bending, twisting, turning
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
