Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality Control and Reliability Teams ensure product and / or product components comply with specifications and quality standards. They test and inspect products against performance and integrity criteria to ensure product quality and reliability, and to determine the suitability of product release.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Quality Management System strategy in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Dotted line responsibility for Quality Inspection Lab - Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency, analyze data, and provide regular reports to management.
  • Lead the design and documentation of quality processes, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 standards.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and assessments to identify gaps, non-conformities, and areas for improvement within the QMS. Coordinate corrective and preventive actions to address identified issues.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on QMS procedures, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to automotive quality management systems and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction of the QMS and Inspection Lab.
  • Foster a culture of quality excellence and promote awareness of the importance of quality throughout the organization.

 

Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., IATF Lead Auditor) are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a similar role, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management principles, ISO 9001 standards, and automotive industry-specific quality requirements (e.g., IATF 16949, VDA 6.3).
  • Strong understanding of statistical techniques, quality tools, and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
  • Experience in conducting internal audits and managing RCCA processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and implement data-driven improvements.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in using quality management software and tools for data analysis, documentation, and reporting.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality results within established timelines.

Compensation:

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $71,840 – $107,760/year (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
