Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Product Engineering Teams optimize existing products from information or input provided by marketing, customers, Operation Teams, Development Engineers or other employees. They maintain existing products, processes, and specifications including modifications for new applications consistent with manufacturing techniques and economies. They also initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, and cost, while meeting customer requirements and may support and implement product extensions to existing platform products to meet specific customer requirements. They are the key experts in the products they are responsible for at TE.

What your background should look like:

Job Responsibilities

• Discuss tests procedures with requester's based on given specifications and define testing setup.

• Control and identify testing samples.

• Follow time frame given for testing.

• Define required fixtures for testing set ups

• Perform required testing on samples as per specifications.

• Provide analysis of tested samples.

• Provide verbal and written report of testing results.

Required Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred.

• Good communication & presentation skills (oral & written).

• Ability to deal with multiple priorities, multi-tasking and establish priorities based on urgencies and internal/external customer expectations.

• Ability to work well within a cross-functional diverse team including engineering, management, and quality functions of internal departments.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Self-starter and enthusiastic.

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge to operate testing equipment such as temperature chambers, mechanical force tasters, power sup-plies and multimeters, and others.

• Fundamental knowledge automotive harnessing, plastics and other materials.

• Proficiency in MS Office suite.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $65,000 – $70,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
