Job Overview

TE Connectivity's ICT Cable Assembly Shop is currently seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing & Process Development Engineer I.

The Manufacturing & Process Development Engineer is a key member of the ICT CAS Shop.

They will be responsible for the technical resolution of problems encountered in the manufacturing and assembly process of cables. They will help to bring new concepts to market. They will help oversee our inventory and implement TEOA throughout the shop. 

What your background should look like:

Should be familiar with cable assembly and connectors (high voltage and data connectivity experience preferred). Must be able to work as a team member with operators, outside vendors and internal suppliers. Individual to be an organized, self-starter and require minimum supervision. The Manufacturing & Process Development Engineer should have strong written and oral communication skills. 
 
Essential Job Functions 
•    Implement application specifications to create build instructions.
•    Understand, coordinate, and oversee cable assembly builds including improving/maintaining quality standards.
•    Apply knowledge to the design, build and procurement of cable assembly equipment including test fixtures.
•    Apply TEOA to improve current and implement new assembly processes. 
•    Understand critical features of cable assemblies and ensure quality on all products.

 

Qualifications:
•    Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Degree or equivalent is preferred.
•    Must be able to work in a hands-on environment.
•    Sound project management skills.
•    Proficient in MS Office Software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
•    Working knowledge of six sigma and lean manufacturing tools.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•    Capable to work in a fasted paced, dynamic environment with multiple changing priorities.
•    SAP experience is a plus.
•    Must be proficient in the English language.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $66,000 – $75,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
