Job Overview

 

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

 

TE Connectivity in Galway for the Medical industry is seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to take a lead role in supporting production on Weekend Days. In this pivotal position, you will play a key role in scheduling, capacity planning, and ensuring the team meets monthly targets. The Production Supervisor will demonstrate key leadership skills and a willingness to take responsibility for the success of the production team. Additional responsibilities include leading and motivating individuals and teams, mentoring and supporting team leaders, and addressing employee performance and necessary HR issues.

  • Meet customer and business needs by collaborating with support functions.
  • Analyze and report on the production plan to maximize performance.
  • Support continuous improvement projects aligned with TEOA.
  • Manage staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and HR processes.
  • Drive compliance in GDP & GMP within manufacturing lines and teams.
  • Implement improved practices and cost reduction for enhanced production performance.
  • Accountable for EH&S activities, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Lead training efforts for team members in line with revisions.
  • Proactively address off-track performance issues.
  • Direct daily communication with the supply chain for material alignment.
  • Reconcile and sign off on monthly inventory cycle counts.
  • Manage SAP escalations, including password resets and material transactions.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

  • Minimum of 3 year’s experience within a busy and challenging manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability as a people manager to lead and motivate individuals and teams.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing concepts, and good understanding of quality system requirements within manufacturing.
  • A demonstrated ability for continuous improvement and problem-solving and will be expected to support projects and mentor others in this area. 
  • A full understanding of GDP, GMP and compliance requirements within manufacturing for the medical industry. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of materials systems, use of SAP, and appreciation for supply chain functions.
