Job Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer reports to the Snr Engineer or Engineering manager and will be responsible for providing engineering support to Manufacturing. You will also be responsible for the continuous improvement activity required to ensure that the process is capable and delivering results in line with the agreed KPI’s.   

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards in manufacturing.
  • Drive engineering solutions for quality improvement, yield enhancement, and process efficiency.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Foster Exceptional Customer Experience for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support New Product Introduction in collaboration with the Prototyping/NPD Group.
  • Manage equipment performance and ensure effective preventive maintenance.
  • Introduce and validate new equipment, resolving technical issues promptly.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, compliance standards, and operational processes.
  • Manage capital expenditure for equipment, assessing cost benefits and advancements.
  • Uphold high-quality standards compliant with Medical Devices manufacturing requirements.
  • Cultivate relationships with key technology providers.
  • Efficiently manage varying workloads to meet operational needs.
  • Maintain technical documentation and oversee necessary training deployment.

What your background should look like:

  • Qualifications:

  • Engineering level 8 degree or equivalent.
  • Preferably 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • Key Requirements:

  • Advantageous to have Medical Device industry experience.
  • Proficient in Lean Manufacturing, statistics, and Minitab software.
  • SolidWorks/AutoCAD skills are advantageous.
  • Dynamic, results-oriented, and adaptable approach.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with ISO and FDA compliance standards.
