Key Responsibilities:
- Provide essential manufacturing line support to production.
- Lead improvement projects aimed at enhancing yield, efficiency, and capacity.
- Take charge of projects involving the introduction and qualification of new equipment and processes.
- Identify and implement solutions to quality and technical issues.
- Enhance manufacturing processes by conducting thorough research, designing modifications, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment, in collaboration with equipment vendors.
- Manage overall equipment performance (OEE) through the effective utilization of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
- Explore and evaluate new process technologies to determine potential competitive advantages and cost benefits.
- Compile comprehensive product and process reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Ensure the maintenance and updating of manufacturing procedures as necessary.
- Implement equipment maintenance procedures for critical equipment.
- Meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as yield, throughput, and productivity.
- Ensure adherence to high-quality compliance and health & safety standards.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- A Level 8 Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline is essential.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Previous experience within the Medical Devices industry is required.
- Demonstrated project management experience, showcasing the ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Practical understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of ISO & FDA compliance.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks/AutoCAD would be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience in equipment and process qualification.
- Operating knowledge of Minitab software would be advantageous.
