Job Overview

 

TE Connectivity's Facilities Team conduct facilities and property administration, office planning, corporate leasing and/or real estate coordination. They work closely and provide advice and counsel to company and/or vendor representatives coordinating major facility constructions or modifications or leasing and real estate activities.

 

Working within the core facilities group, and reporting to the facilities manager, the facilities support technician must be motivated to maintain and improve site infrastructure for 24/7 operation. You will have the ability to trouble shoot equipment problems, maintain equipment to a high standard and manage maintenance activities including documentation and external contractors. The technician will support the broader facilities group in standard maintenance and operation of busy manufacturing campus. This is a highly flexible and hands on role that will expose the successful applicant to a broad range of facilities related tasks.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

 

  • Carry out facilities tasks as delegated by the senior facilities engineer
  • Maintenance of the DI water plants and upkeep of the various documentation requirements.
  • Maintenance of the Effluent Treatment plant.
  • Transportation of Waste chemicals
  • Carry out checks on various pieces of facilities infrastructure
  • Carry out preventive maintenance activities.
  • Support and maintain the access control system.
  • Support and maintain water services to the site and the various buildings.
  • Support line down situations.
  • Address safety concerns that relate to the facilities function.
  • Manage the ticket system and carry out tasks that the ticketing system requires.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

  • Qualified electrician or alternative trade experience.
  • Preferably a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • A qualified electrician will have a distinct advantage.
  • Experience of machine building and troubleshooting.
  • Experience of working in a large manufacturing campus.
  • Must be able to plan, organize, and execute concurrent tasks.
  • Must be flexible and be willing to be on call.
  • Must have good documentation skills and must be computer literate.
  • Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO & FDA compliance.
