Remediation:

TE Connectivity is committed to ensuring that any contamination associated with past or present operations is identified and addressed in a manner that protects the environment, employees, and neighbors.  The remediation process shall comply with all applicable environmental laws and TE Connectivity’s Global Environmental Specifications.  TE manages remediation sites to reduce their associated risks, liabilities, control costs, maintain compliance, and pursue closures of sites by evaluating cost-effective alternative strategies.

Responsibilities:
•    Manages and directs professional and technical consultants to complete complex environmental projects.
•    Heads teams by utilizing advanced scientific principles, theories, and practices.
•    Utilizes existing technologies and past experience to develop technical solutions.
•    Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
•    Work with various government agencies to coordinate activities and remediation action plans.
•    Drives remediation projects with the idea of closure as soon as technically achievable to minimize risk/liability.
•    Control costs, maintain compliance, and pursue closures of sites by evaluating cost-effective alternative strategies.
•    Manages the budget for each project site and prepares quarterly financial updates. 
•    Performs work with minimal direction with periodic reporting to the Environmental Director
•    Oversees the preparation of work plans and organizes project studies.
•    Perform additional environmental duties and tasks that may be assigned which are not directly related to remediation activities.  

What your background should look like:


•    Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental studies, or other closely related degree. Master’s Degree preferred.
•    5-10 years of environmental work experience.
•    Experience as a project manager at environmental remediation sites involving contaminated media including soil, sediments, and groundwater.
•    Experience conducting site investigations/characterizations, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, engineering evaluations, and remedial designs/actions.
•    Experience identifying and resolving key issues impacting remedy implementation (technical, regulatory, risk, stakeholder, land use, etc.) and emerging issues.
•    Experience with leading a team in implementing site closure strategy and effectively managing change over time.
•    Experience as a liaison or point of contact communicating effectivity between contractors, team members, regulatory agencies, property owners, other consultants, and clients.
•    Experience and background in general environmental compliance and regulatory aspects.
•    Self-motivated with a positive attitude, able to work well with international teams 
•    Time zone flexibility and the ability to travel up to 25%.
•    Strong analytical skills. 
•    Remote Position based in the United States (East Coast).

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $121,280181,920 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
