Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Distribution & Logistics Teams manage the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements or internal business objectives. They create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. They also focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes, and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist El Paso distribution center (EPDC) with TEOA (TE operating advantage – business process improvement) efforts and accomplish the established goals focusing on customer needs and cost effective processes.  Focus on on requirements, regulations, total employee involvement, and metrics.  Develop of standard work and maintaining records
  • Coordinate the EHS – environmental, health and safety, providing a work environment that is safe, efficient and motivating including technical support to EPDC operations through regulations, rules, and total employee involvement
  • Create purchase order requisition, to maintain indirect material and operating required tools available to ensure operation performance continuity, maintain right level of inventory, ordering supplies throughout approved vendors while maintain vendors accounts and payments current
  • Assist in the facilities / maintenance for EPDC assets and building to maintain facility and equipment in good operational condition
  • Run reports for productivity, and key process indicator status and present information using different methods
  • Provide proper training to team members for EHS, standard work, TEOA, and some on boarding

 

Qualifications

  • A 4-year degree in engineering, or business is required (or equivalent years of experience), plus 0-3 years’ experience
  • The candidate must be a dynamic, self-starting individual with a strong bias for action and impact
