Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality Control and Reliability Teams ensure product and / or product components comply with specifications and quality standards. They test and inspect products against performance and integrity criteria to ensure product quality and reliability, and to determine the suitability of product release.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a multi-regional team of Advance Quality Engineers across the EMEA region, ensuring effective implementation of quality standards, methodologies, and practices.
  • Partner with Project Management and other project functions to achieve successful, on time, project execution, PSW. 
  • Serve as the primary project quality contact for clients, managing customer expectations and ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction. 
  • Provide training and awareness to TE persons and functions related to customer requirements and specifications. Acting regional lead in region or location for escalated or high impact customer events and formal customer improvement programs.
  • Maintain and improve systems to measure project performance against established standards/targets.
  • Ensure compliance and certification for all projects within the scope of PPAP, FMEA, control plans, MSA, capability studies, and testing requirements.
  • Continuously work with project team to seek and leverage process improvements.
  • Ensure Project Quality best practices and lessons learned are cascaded across all project teams and functions.
  • Establish effective cross site and cross department communications.
  • Ensure the highest level of Ethics and Integrity across the assignment.
  • Implement the 8 Quality Basics within EMEA Projects to move towards our operational excellence and achieve ECE in our products.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, utilizing tools such as 8D, Six Sigma, and lean manufacturing principles to drive problem-solving and process optimization.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues, ensuring robust corrective actions and preventive measures are implemented.
  • Lead the team in conducting thorough root cause analysis for any non-conformities or customer complaints, employing methodologies such as 8D and Six Sigma.
  • Prepare and present quality reports and performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.

What your background should look like:

  • University Master’s degree (engineering preferred).
  • Over 10 – 15 years of experience in the automotive industry, particularly in Tier 1 environments, with a solid understanding of Tier 2 operations 
  • At least 8 years of Managerial Experience
  • Strong background in Root cause analysis
  • Proven track record in problem-solving and process improvement methodologies, such as 8D and Six Sigma; Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Deep knowledge and experience of automotive quality tools and processes.  PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, capability studies, Customer Special Requirements, Problem Solving, Corrective Action, Quality Systems, Lean practices,
  • Understanding of molding and assembly operations.
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken.
  • Experience and direct contact with OEM´s
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills with experience managing teams across different geographical locations. capable of working effectively across different cultures and organizational levels.
  • Culturally sensitive
  • 40% travel, EMEA Region (rest of the time based on home)
