Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

 

Objective: Material flow execution in a timely manner based on the route and daily production schedule. Will work on the floor 80% of the day searching for parts from job orders and reporting findings to departments using an ERP system.

 

Responsibilities:

                  

•     Expedite orders based on hot list job report using ERP system.

•     Using MS Excel to create and share parts and job orders.

•     Traveler follow up priority in WIP flow sequence.                             

•     Maintained (WIP- work in process) inventory accuracy and aged target goals.

•     Working with multiple departments.        

•     5's visual control and material flow in production areas designed 

•     Keep detailed records of material movements, usage, and replenishment activities.               

•     Participate in identifying and addressing any quality-related issues promptly.                        

•     Schedule attainment revision                          

•     Safety first follow TE policy.                                                

•     Assist with heavy lifting as need it.                                                     

•     Working in Kanban cards/ bin implementation.

•     In addition to those required by the department's needs and / or assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements:

Education:  High School or GED

Experience: 1 year experience in manufacturing production control areas. Problem solver. Team player. Oriented Action. Manufacture part expeditor.  

Computer Skill: MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint. / ERP system – Macola a plus.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $49,920 – $58,240 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
