Joboverzicht

The Industrial Business Unit of TE Connectivity has an opportunity for a Global Product Manager (GPM) (f/m/d) for the Industrial Devices sub-vertical, specifically within Precision Power Solutions. The GPM (f/m/d) will manage all aspects of our global Filter product line and is responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and gross (or standard) margin targets. The position will report to the Global Lead for Passives, Switches and Filters.
This position which ideally will be based in Europe manages all aspects of the assigned portfolio with clear ownership in driving product expansion. This leader is responsible for revenue and gross margin attainment of the portfolio and will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic planning and commercial initiatives to scale the business substantially and achieve accelerated growth over the next 5 years. The GPM (f/m/d) will pursue an aggressive growth strategy focused on organic and M&A or partnership-based growth and will drive new product introduction, go-to-market expansion, and entry into product adjacencies.
The GPM (f/m/d) will bring a strategic, growth-oriented and entrepreneurial mind-set, with excellent commercial acumen.

 

Key Responibilities
Strategy Development

  • Outlines a clear portfolio strategy for the assigned product family that positions Industrial Device to deliver strong financial results – That includes inorganic strategy to expand product depth and/or breadth enhancing relevance to customers/channel
  • Creates breakthroughs (e.g., new market entry, new products, new business models, M&A, partnerships) through excellence in creating an ideas funnel, idea selection, prioritization, active experimentation, and scale-up of proven ideas
  • Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  • Expected to develop an in-depth understanding of major competitors in the key product markets. 
  • Manage the product lifecycle.

Develop Business Plan & Execution

  • Define resource requirements necessary to execute the product and technology roadmaps
  • Establish and execute pricing policy
  • Work effectively with the Regional Product Managers to drive execution of the product line strategies
  • Partners with the sales organization and drives empowerment that accelerates speed and responsiveness while jointly defining GTM strategies
  • Partners with the operations team to define the appropriated service models to win in the market

Drives the full P&L

  • Manage the P&L (sales and gross or standard margin) for the assigned product line
  • Deliver growth above market through strong NPI and share gain execution
  • Drives YoY gross margin expansion by developing and executing robust pricing strategies, driving operational productivity and improving product mix (when relevant)
  • Lead projects to drive competitive advantage for the assigned product line
  • Track progress to the business plan and facilitate resolution to gaps

Talent Management 

  • Work closely with the multi-cultural Regional PM’s and other GPM’s located worldwide
  • Creates / inspires a humble, learning and growth oriented, and continuous improvement mindset and culture in the organization
  • Communicates widely and at multiple levels in the organization.

The role could be based any place in EMEA or US - Remote-

Verantwoordelijkheden & kwalificaties

  • 5+ years of product management and/or strategy and/or business development, ideally in Industrial market
  • Proven track record in strategy development
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding performance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent. MBA preferred.
  • Relevant product (eg. EMI-Filtering, Power quality and Power Magnetics) or industry experience desired
  • High level of written and verbal communication in English, German, Spanish or Chinese is a plus
  • Customer focus with solutions orientated thinking
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute on priorities
  • Drive for results mentality with the ability to work to deadlines and challenging targets
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple organization functions (internally and externally to TE)
  • Business acumen combined with an entrepreneurial mind-set. Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with business plans
  • Strong selling, presentation and negotiation skills on a global level
  • Demonstrated behaviours and values above TE standard
  • Flexibility in working days and travelling
  • Fully acquainted with computer and common software
