Job Overview

The Manager FP&A (f/m) is responsible for driving the Forecasting/Budgeting and Strat plan ensuring coordination among the Sub-vertical and Sales teams as well as having direct ownership of the planning of the Shared P&L. Furthermore, is the interface between Industrial finance team and the corporate/ segment finance Team, and is a Business partner to the Industrial Ops Management with direct focus on the non-plant areas, as well as to Opex management partners. Bridges results and analyses trends, identify business inefficiencies and potential areas of improvement.  The department is a center of excellence for business unit financial planning and analytics.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Drives the Forecasting/Budgeting and Strat plan of Global Industrial ensuring coordination among the Sub-vertical and Sales teams as well as having direct ownership of the planning of the Shared P&L and Balance sheet
  • Ensures effective planning processes with the Global Industrial organization and timely and accurate submissions to corporate and segment Finance
  • Bridges results and analyses trends from a full P&L and Balance sheet perspective, identifying business inefficiencies and potential areas of improvement. Explains and communicates gaps of performance in a comprehensive way to enable management decisions and conclusions
  • Assesses accurately and according to TE’s policy the impact of capitalization of variances process, and is able to appropriately communicate it across the organization
  • Support Quarterly Business reviews/ Quarterly Earnings release preparation in cooperation with business teams and BU management team
  • Business partners with Industrial Opex and Ops management team in order to drive Business efficiencies and monitors financial targets. Pro-actively identifies appropriate KPI’s and ensuring accurate tracking of performance
  •  Provides insights and recommendations driven by data analytics, advanced modelling technics, and triangulation of external and market data
  • Supervises, develops and standardizes planning and reporting process. Increases productivity by enabling automation steps, eliminating duplications, coordinating information requirements
  • Focus on continuous process improvement and simplification
  • Leads and develops a team focused on planning and analytics, and enables a proactive business partner attitude of the team
  •  Provides guidance and coaching to the team to understand their customers’ requirements and support with alternative, improved processes
  • Ensure Compliance with TE connectivity policies/procedures
  • The department is a center of excellence for business unit planning and analytics
  • Navigates efficiently and accurately the TE company systems including financial systems and analytical tool to accomplish the above




  • University degree (economics or controlling preferred)
  • Several years’ experience in Controlling, budgeting, forecast and consolidation, preferably in an international environment
  • Experience of manufacturing and trading organizations, budgeting/ forecasting processes/ consolidation and standard cost accounting techniques
  • General understanding of U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting
  • Knowledge and hands on experience of SAP, COGNOS, Hyperion or similar ERP, BI and consolidation systems
  • International experience is a plus
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Excel and database software.  Good Microsoft office skills preferred
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken
  • Strong problem solving, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.  Able to picture “simple” solutions to complex business scenarios involving multiple systems and accounting disciplines across multiple regions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner and relate to colleagues and Business partners at all levels and in all locations
  • Comfortable to work in an international matrix organization.  Previous experience of a multicultural environment an advantage
  • Previous experience of Six Sigma problem solving techniques/tools would be an advantage.
