Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Environmental Health & Safety Teams ensure and monitor safety in the workplace. This includes the application and communication of health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures and practices consistent with TE, environmental and government regulations.

your main tasks:

  • Supervision of the EHS management system with the aim of identifying all legal and company-specific requirements and working towards their compliance
  • Analysis of work processes, workplaces, machinery and equipment with regard to EHS-related risks and hazards, preparation of hazard assessments
  • Develop effective technical, organizational and personal improvement measures
  • Analysis of injuries, accidents and near misses; introduction of necessary corrective measures and consistent promotion of a safety culture
  • Reporting and developing EHS metrics and analysis to plant management as well as higher-level EHS functions
  • Leverage EHS best practices, design initiatives, create and conduct EHS training.
  • Monitor and improve energy efficiency and waste performance
  • Maintain and develop ISO 14001 certification
  • Advise management, executives and employees on EHS matters
  • Communication with relevant interfaces such as QM team, authorities, external companies

your profile:

  • Training as an occupational safety specialist is a must for this position
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of EHS
  • Qualification as environmental specialist desirable
  • Ideally further training as a waste, energy management and/or water protection officer
  • Knowledge of standards, preferably ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001/ISO45001
  • Positive attitude towards occupational safety, health and environmental protection as well as willingness to openly address deficits and effectively solve them in the long run
  • Hands-on mentality and ability to work independently
  • Team player with the ability to work with different hierarchies and cultures
  • Ability to convince and motivate others
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
