Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Environmental Health & Safety Teams ensure and monitor safety in the workplace. This includes the application and communication of health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures, and practices consistent with TE, environmental and government regulations. This role will provide functional leadership for Environmental, Health and Safety Audit & Assurance. The role requires ability to collaborate to develop strategy and drive execution across the business unit (BU), 10 sites (7 countries: Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Portugal) and functions. This position will be responsible for EH&S Audit & Assurance Program development and for driving TE Operating Advantage (TEOA – TE’s Lean Business methodology) to achieve continuous improvement.

This position could be based in any of those countries, preferably in Bensheim, Germany.

 

Tasks and Responsibilites:

 

  • Lead the development, revision, and continuous improvement of AUT EMEA Audit & Assurance policies, procedures, and guidelines, aligning them with ISO14001, ISO50001, ISO45001, local, state, and federal regulations and industry best practices
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive EHS management system that aligns with industry standards and best practices
  • Manage the strategic risk profile throughout the identification of hazards and risks through the company audit and assurance program
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety regulatory requirements and TE standard. Track and review corrective actions for identified findings from internal/ external audits
  • Manage the annual internal and external audit program of the region, coordinate internal auditors and travel to sites in the region to perform on-site validation audits for established EHS&S objectives and critical EHS&S programs according to TE and ISO standards. Transition knowledge and experience to local teams and lead them to develop action plans to close gaps identified during on-site validation audits

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor´s degree required; master’s degree preferred. Preferably in Environmental, Health & Safety or Engineering
  • Experience in manufacturing industries. Automotive, assembly and machinery manufacturing, Stamping, Molding, Plating preferred
  • 10+ years of relatable experience in EH&S and audit & assurance program de-velopment, safety management, and implementation, with a preference for corporate or industrial settings. Prior experience and knowledge in manufac-turing industry strongly preferred
  • Profound knowledge of safety regulations and EHS compliance standards
  • Knowledgeable in ISO45001, ISO 14001, ISO50001
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, influencing, collaboration, and team management skills are required
  • Must be able to successfully manage multiple activities and know how to manage multiple projects in parallel
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 50%)
  • Business fluent in English - German preferred
