Job Overview

We are building a world class Global Trade Services (GTS) organization, including Operational Service Centers focused on critical trade services. This role is for a Import/Export Analyst-III in the Corporate and Customs Shared Services Center (CCS), which is responsible for supporting centralized core activities to manage Customs and Imports-related projects and shared services in all locations where TE operates. 

Responsibilities:

This role will be responsible for managing key aspects of the Customs compliance, delivering centralized management of EOU (Export Oriented Compliance) activities of TE and its affiliates. Key responsibilities relate to the Customs & Corporate Services Center includes but are not limited to training, standardization, systems deployment, and optimization. The role reports to Customs Manager-India Customs and Corporate Services Center (CCS), joining a team of global trade professionals who are enthusiastic about ensuring the future growth of the business by providing business solutions for compliance with global trade laws and regulations.

Desired Candidate Profile:

•    Success in the role requires strong analytical and creative critical thinking skills, strategic analysis and planning capabilities involving complex situations, advanced oral and written communication skills, and the ability to coordinate interdisciplinary teams (internal and external) to drive issues and projects to conclusion. 
•    7+ years of experience in international trade, focusing primarily on India trade compliance and management of Customs imports programs.
•    Preferred: 3+ years of experience in communications, industrial, or transportation industries, especially in manufacturing industries.
•    Management and oversight of Customs brokers, agents, and service providers to ensure adherence to service agreements and compliance obligations.
•    Management and oversight of all cross-border operations in India, including site related activities and ensuring compliance related to duty optimization programs.
•    Ensure compliance with all applicable customs regulations, trade laws, and international trade agreements.
•    Create, implement, and administer customs broker service provider standard operating procedures to expedite cross border transactions while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements throughout India.
•    Act as subject matter expert to address shipment specific issue management and escalation as required.
•    Prepare and review import-export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, shipping documents, and customs declarations.
•    Classify and determine the appropriate tariff codes, customs duties, and taxes for imported and exported goods.
•    Monitor and track shipments, providing regular updates to stakeholders, and proactively resolving any issues or delays that may arise.
•    Analyze and evaluate export/import costs, pricing, and profitability, recommending strategies to optimize trade margins and reduce expenses.
•    Ensure on time communication & dispatch of documents to all relevant internal & external stake holder after shipment.
•    Keep a regular follow-up with customs / Consultants for availing export benefits.
•    To take all export benefit from statutory bodies against the export done. Viz. Duty draw back, RODTEP, Advance Authorization, EPCG Authorization etc.
•    Well versed in EOU Compliance activities. 
•    Managing and overseeing the application and issuance of Advance Licenses and related authorizations. Navigating DGFT procedures and regulations with finesse, ensuring compliance and optimized operational efficiency.
•    Co-ordinate with Local Business Units, analyze trade flows and customs duty spend to look for duty savings opportunities.
•    Vendor Contract Management.
