Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with plant costing team to optimize cost model of Mega and large projects, ensure the quotation in cost model is the best cost.
  • Work with internal and external specialist, deep dive the product design and manufacturing process, delivery should cost to project team with proposed the cost improvement opportunities in product design and manufacturing process design.
  • Make Mega and large project cost roadmap with confidence level, track actual cost after project close and analyze the variance between assumption and actual. Improve the accuracy of cost roadmap assumption. 
  • Make Mega and large project cost sensitivity analysis (Volume, Mfg. Location, sourcing strategy).
  • Host weekly meetings with actions-oriented team of key projects cost improvement. 
  • Generate report of overall costing excellence for meta and large project and Bi-weekly update to global MPDE leaders.
  • Provide strong and effective support to cost excellence teams, assisting cost excellence IE deliver successful cost analysis and results.
  • Create a work atmosphere conducive to professional growth and development of excellent personnel at all levels. Create training and capability building process and training modules to promote best practices.
  • Monitor overall situation, keep close communication with across functions leaders to disclosure high level bottleneck and risk and opportunities, deeply engaged for action plan creating and monitor progression to result.
     

Must Have Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • 12 years+ experience on NPD project costing analysis and improvement, expertise in new product cost analysis and improvement management.
  • 5 year+ management experience within functional / sub functional area. Ability to manage complex organization, develops organization in support of business strategy.
  • Deep knowledge of connector and cable assembly business, products and manufacture processes. 
  • Good data analysis skills, ability to think systematically and solve problems.
