Jobübersicht

Project Manager Supervisor Platform Products will supervise and oversee a team of product team PjMs (Project Managers) to drive project execution in pursuit of achieving flawless launches following the TE internal LEANPD new product development process, i.e. delivering projects that are on-time, on-budget, and meet performance objectives.  This role will interact with regional stakeholders be able to effectively communicate, motivate and influence those stakeholders (TE internal as well as external customers), and enable projects to be profitably developed and successfully deployed.

Tasks Summary & Responsibilities

  • To lead, develop and train Core Platform PjMs in all aspects of their full LEANPD responsibilities, driving excellence in the following areas: 
  • Process: follow LEANPD process and control documentation including design and development history.
  • Leadership: be a role model for TE project members as appropriate and represent to our customers a person with the highest integrity, a positive attitude, technical competence, a strong work ethic, and a high level of Project Management Professionalism. 
  • Cost Control: Manage the Project Capital, Expense and Resource Expenditures to stay within budget and ensure that the financial returns are maintained.
  • Communications: Develop the Project Communication Plan, Lead periodic Management Level Project Reviews, Report Project Progress, and Manage and Influence Stakeholder Expectations.  
  • Planning: Lead and Develop effective Project Plans including the core areas of Project Integration, Timing, Costs, Risk Management, Communications, Project Quality, Resources, NPI planning, and Scope.
  • Risk Management: Effectively Create, Monitor, and Control Risk Management Plans.
  • Customer Management: Perform integrated Change Management Control including establishing the Change Management Procedure, maintaining the Risk Register, getting Authorisation and Payment from Customers for agreed upon changes. 
  • Capacity planning: Develop and Maintain Capacity Plans at the Global Assembly level to the Component level in accordance with the S&OP Global Capacity Check process.
  • Technical Leadership and Problem Solving: create and maintain a technical team environment (including customer technical resources) where decision points are quickly identified, reviewed, analyzed, and decisions made while building teamwork and commitment to the project while maintaining the project schedule.
  • Economic Analysis: conduct as needed analyses in support of project control, alternatives evaluation, variance analysis, cost calculations, etc.
  • Resource Management: effectively lead project teams and allocate resources as needed. 
  • To conduct regular key Project Reviews with responsible PjMs to ensure all Projects stay on track and that any issues are proactively managed and avoided.
  • To facilitate and ensure Cross Functional Coordination within Core Teams, considering regional differences in Organisational Structures and Complexities.
  • To provide a Central Focal Point for the Sales and Marketing Team to ensure Customer Focus is keenly maintained during all Project Launches.
  • To provide a Central Focal Point for Operations to ensure New Product Launches align with Manufacturing Strategy and Footprint
  • To provide a Central Focal Point for Demand Management and the Sales and Operation Planning team to ensure New Projects have the necessary visibility/planning for successful start of production including Global Capacity Check where appropriate.
  • To Partner with the LEANPD Facilitator and Executive Business Members to Streamline and Continuously Improve the New Product Development Process.

Was Sie mitbringen sollten:

our Profile:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (engineering or technical preferred)
  • 5 years+ of experience working in a Commercial / Technical environment
  • 2 years+ of experience in an Engineering Discipline
  • 2 years+ experience in a Project Management / Lead environment
  • Project management experience with progressive responsibilities (5+ years preferred) under one of the industry quality management system (CMMI, ISO-TS, AS9100).
  • Global Business and Project related experience highly desired
  • 2+ years’ experience in Electrical Connection System Products desired
  • Project Management Professional certification a plus (PMP)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must be able to effectively work with people of diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving
  • Able to work effectively under pressure
