TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

Responsibility:

•    Accountable to achieve objectives/targets regarding Supplier Quality, Delivery and Material Productivity
•    Builds strong relationships with strategic suppliers to optimize performance
•    Develops, executes, commodity strategies ensuring alignment with plant and BU objectives
•    Leads and executes the Sourcing Steps
•    Clears the path to issues related with supply disruptions
•    Ensures and promotes adherence to global processes, policies, procedures, best practices within TE and extensive to supply base
•    Manages data Integrity in SAP
•    Should cost analysis
•    Machining, plating, molding, stamping and Castings.
•    Identify and implement cost savings projects related to the all the above commodities.
•    Support supplier identification on new product introduction (NPI) as required
•    Extend the TE Operational Advantage (TEOA) into the supply base to generate continuous 
•    improvement through the supplier lead projects.
•    Excellent communication skills at all levels from shop floor employees to top management

 

Desired Candidate Profile:

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

•    Diploma in tool and die making from NTTF / GTTC / CITD or Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical with Minimum 3 to 6 years of professional experience with focus on Machining and plating commodities.
•    Ability to work in self-directed environment with minimal supervision.
•    Act as an interface between supply base and internal customer to provide project support from RFQ till first 3 lots production and hand over to supply chain team.

CRITICAL EXPERIENCE
•    Participate/Support supplier development efforts based on technical deficiencies or areas of weak 
•    performance. This can include: developing a corrective action plan to address non-compliant issues, 
•    Working with TE portal support, TE procedure and processes.
•    Participate in the development and deployment of multi-year strategies for major commodities like
