Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality Control and Reliability Teams ensure product and / or product components comply with specifications and quality standards. They test and inspect products against performance and integrity criteria to ensure product quality and reliability, and to determine the suitability of product release.

 

Seacon Phoenix, a division on TE Connectivity, specializes in the manufacture of glass sealed electrical connectors, feed thrus and MIL-SPEC approved connectors as well as neoprene and polyurethane cable assemblies, harsh environment connectors and military fiber optic cables and assemblies. Our highly qualified team take great pride in the quality and performance level of every product and offers assistance in all aspects of customer design and fabrication

 

We are currently looking for a Quality Inspector.  In this role you will Inspect and measure parts or products manufactured or processed to ensure compliance with sales order / contract / drawing / blue prints / mil specifications.  This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities 

  • Use calipers, verniers, dial indicators, JO-Blocks, and surface finish comparator to ensure conformance with print specifications and established quality standards.
  • Inspect product to determine compliance with order specifications, company's quality control system for compliance with legal requirements, and shipping and packing facilities for conformity to specified standards.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality standards.
  • Record test data utilizing quality control procedures, specifications or drawings.
  • Stamp mark of approval or rejection on product and write report of examinations.
  • Examines company's records to secure such information as size and weight of product and results of quality tests.
  • Receiving Inspection:  Inspect to Purchase Order and drawing requirements using an AQL Sampling Plan, utilizing different calibration tools in the process.

 Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of mechanical inspection procedures.  Electrical background a plus.
  • At least 5 years’ experience.
  • Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.
  • Organizational Support - Follows policies and procedures; Supports organization's goals and values.
  • Planning/Organizing - Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently; maintains a clean work area.
  • Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Ability to read and understand drawing requirements and tolerancing (basic drawing interpretation).
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Due to ITAR regulations, must be US citizen or US Permanent Resident.
