Job Overview

TE Connectivity's R&D engineering intern is rseponsible to suport R&D team which focus on Design and Development of Temperature sensor product, verify design to requirement, build quick turn prototype, prepare design documentation for ECO, contact suppliers to get RoHS/REACH certificate, run root cause analysis and find solution to improve the design, collect data and run data analysis for DVT report .

Responsibilities & Qualifications

TESS Engineering Intern

This position will report to the Design Engineering Manager and will be part of an engineering team focused on the design, development, and production release of new temperature sensors. 

Basic Requirement:

  • Part of Design team that model, and test new temperature product prototypes.
  • Participate in engineering development projects, communicate with customers/suppliers and support sales team. 
  • Support R&D engineers to create concept designs, cost estimates, performance specifications, and production criteria.
  • Identify, select, and validate materials appropriate for specific applications.
  • Produce prototype, customer, part, assembly, and supplier drawings and specifications.
  • Support R&D engineers to generate parts lists, BOMs, and provide production cost estimates.
  • Physically build and test prototypes and samples and customer deliverables as required by the project team.
  • Work with manufacturing engineering to develop appropriate production processes.
  • Support root cause analysis when quality issues arise and implement effective corrective and preventive actions to support continuous improvement.
  • Education focus in Electrical, mechanical or Computer Science engineering
