Quality Systems Engineer

Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Implement, monitor and improve Quality Systems with focus on production floor support and improvement
  • Assures that QMS meets all Industry Standards and applicable international norms. Assures the continuous improvement of the QMS.
  • Maintains a strict control over corrective and preventive actions from internal and external sources, while assuring its effectiveness.
  • Creates and implement and effective Internal Audit Plan.
  • Frequent interaction with teams from multiple departments, functions and plants to work on improvements to QMS
  • Implements change control systems assuring safe and effective implementation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor in Industrial, Mechanical, or similar
  • 3 to 5 years of experience within Automotive Industry or similar
  • Proven experience on QMS implementation (ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3)
  • Proven knowledge of Automotive Regulations (IATF, AIAG, etc.)
  • Able to manage multidisciplinary teams
  • Hands on experience with Internal, External, and Third Party audits
  • Develops complex analysis of processes to identify systemic problems and solutions
  • Skills to evaluate processes effectiveness, risks and opportunities
  • Hands on knowledge on customer requirements and portals
  • Uses stablished guidelines, procedures and policies to meet objectives
  • Seeks for continuous improvement of the QMS
  • Promotes company values at all times
