The CIO, Channel Business Unit will drive IT strategy execution, collaborating closely with TE’s Global Information Solutions (TE IS), Digital leadership, and Channel BU leadership. Reporting through a strong dotted line to the Channel BU General Manager and the CIO of TE’s Automation & Connected Living Sector, this leader will oversee SAP backend modernization, digital customer experience enhancements, and corporate technology initiatives.
This role requires a strategic and execution-focused IT leader with strong business acumen, deep technical expertise, and the ability to influence across a matrixed global organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an IT roadmap aligned with the Channel BU’s digital strategy, enabling targeted growth, distributor network acceleration, and customer segmentation solutions.
- Drive the SAP S4 upgrade effort while enhancing digital customer capabilities, focusing on self-service solutions, proactive order updates, part findability, and order management automation.
- Oversee the IT budget for the BU, ensuring transparency and alignment with the broader TE governance structure while optimizing costs and efficiency.
- Partner with Channel BU leadership, Global Marketing, and TE IS to deliver technology solutions that support business priorities, drive innovation, and enhance customer experience.
- Lead the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics, to create business value and improve operational efficiencies.
- Support the development of customer-centric digital initiatives, such as predictive analytics, automated order tracking, and enhanced self-service capabilities.
- Ensure IT solutions meet business needs through strong partnerships with TE IS and other technology teams, managing shared services effectively.
- Support IT integration efforts for mergers and acquisitions, ensuring seamless technology alignment and business continuity.
- Play a key role in driving IT transformation, including the implementation of new service models, organizational redesign, and operational efficiencies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including IT service providers, to drive innovation and operational success.
What your background should look like:
Required:
• Proven IT leadership experience in a global enterprise, with a track record of developing and executing IT strategy.
• Strong business acumen with expertise in IT portfolio management, customer experience (CX), and digital solutions.
• Experience driving value through advanced analytics and AI/ML technologies.
• Strong change management, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills in a matrixed global organization.
• Demonstrated ability to drive IT transformations involving new technologies, service models, and organizational design.
• Hands-on experience with IT governance, budget management, and vendor negotiations.
Preferred:
• Experience with SAP, Salesforce, digital marketing, and go-to-market technologies.
• Background in global manufacturing, engineering, or LEAN environments.
• Knowledge of IT M&A due diligence and integration processes.
• Track record of implementing IT solutions that drive business growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams, even in a highly matrixed environment.
• Proven experience in navigating complex IT landscapes and aligning IT initiatives with business priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or Business (Master’s preferred).

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $178,200–267,500 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
